Download UDL & SAMR Lesson Planning Template provided below. Think about a lesson you teach (or plan to teach) and identify an area where students could benefit from more inclusive and engaging approaches.

1. Briefly describe your lesson topic and the diversity of learners in your group (e.g., students with reading difficulties, multilingual students, students with attention challenges).

2. Select a digital or AI-based tool (e.g., Quizlet, ChatGPT, Edpuzzle, Padlet, Microsoft Immersive Reader).

3. Apply UDL principles: Explain how your activity will provide multiple means of:

– Engagement (how students get motivated),

– Representation (how information is presented),

– Action and Expression (how students demonstrate learning).

4. Apply the SAMR model: Briefly classify your activity according to one of the four SAMR levels (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition) and explain your reasoning.
